Terra Cotta pots are a commonly used planter. They can easily help turn any garden into a Mediterranean paradise. But sometimes, a minor upgrade can add a new look to your outdoor oasis. I love aged Terra Cotta pots, but just like the word implies, those take time. Using this simple trick, you can transform your pots to have that aged look.
Using a can of white-matte spray pain, spray your pots with an even coat, both inside and out. This may require spraying and allowing the paint to dry before flipping the pots over.
Once the pots are painted and dried, use sanding paper to gently rub the pots in a horizontal direction. Make sure to sand different size spots throughout to add that uneven look.
It's that simple. The great thing about this trick is there is no protective coat or seal to prevent the paint from coming off with time or even staining with water. That will allow the pots to appear aged faster.
