Ingredients
Tofu
16 oz. Firm Tofu
1-2 tbs. olive oil
Peanut-Soy Sauce
1/2 tsp. Sriracha Sauce
3 tbs. honey
6 tbs. soy sauce
2 tbs. peanut butter
1 stem green onion
Instructions
Remove the tofu from its container and allow some of the excess liquid to drain. To ensure the tofu remains firm, wrap in paper towel and let sit for 5-8 minutes to soak up the excess moisture. Once the tofu has dried some, slice into 6-8 equal slices.
Drizzle olive oil in a frying pan and place the tofu slices in the frying pan. Cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes on each side or until they begin to have lightly golden color. While the tofu is cooking, begin prepping the sauce.
In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sauce, leaving the peanut butter and green onion for last. Mix in the peanut butter until all the ingredients combine and you have a smooth sauce. Add the chopped green onion.
Once the tofu is crisp on both sides, add the sauce over the tofu into the frying pan. Turn the heat down to a medium-low setting. Cook for 5-7 minutes, just enough for the sauce to slightly thicken.
Serve the tofu over a bed of rice with a sprinkle of freshly chopped green onion and enjoy!
