Lentil Soup



Ingredients

1 16 oz. bag of lentils

1 tbs. Salt

1/2 tbs. Pepper

1 tbs. Oregano

1/2 tps. Cinnamon

Instructions

Fill a large pot half way with water and pour the lentils in. Place the pot over a medium heat stove and stir the lentils a few times. Allow the pot to come to a low boil and boil for 10 minutes.


Once the lentils have boiled, reduce the heat to a medium-low temperature and stir in the salt, pepper, and spices. Cover with a lid and occasionally stir the soup to prevent the bottom from sticking to the pot. Allow to cook for 30 minutes or until the soup reaches a thick consistency and the lentils have dissolved some.


Top with grated cheese and avocados with preferred crackers. If you enjoy a little spice and want a little extra kick, add some hot sauce.
