Supplies:

Air-dry clay

Rolling Pin

Round cookie cutter

Paint marker

Jute String

Plastic Straw

Holiday greens & foliage

Begin by rolling your clay into a ball, about the size of a small lemon. Using a rolling pin, roll out the clay until you have a smooth and evenly flat disc. The thickness of the clay is left to preference, but for best results aim for 1/4 of an inch in thickness. Next, lay your desired foliage over the center of the clay disc and with the rolling pin, gently press over the foliage being sure to roll back and forth no more than two times.

Next, remove the foliage from the clay and using the cookie cutter, cut out a section of the clay with the foliage imprint. Using a plastic straw cut out a small circle towards the top of the ornament. Place the clay ornaments on a baking sheet or prepared tray ensuring they are evenly spaced out. Allow the clay to dry according to packaging instructions, about 2-3 days.

Once the ornaments are completely dry, use a paint marker to fill in the foliage imprint. Using natural, earth tones will give the ornaments a warm and neutral vibrance that is sure to fit with any style. If you're looking to have a more bold statement, opt for bright and festive colors that are sure to bring some holiday cheer into the room.

Finally, take some string and loop one end through the center of the small hole towards the top of the ornament and tie a knot at the top of the string. Package these with tissue paper to ensure these crafty works of art last a lifetime.
